Statement of Rights and Responsibilities Update March 2012

Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

Yesterday Facebook publicly announced that it was making changes to its Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, with the aim of making their “practices and policies more clear”.

Some of the most obvious changes are stated on the main introduction to the document, where Facebook states that they are replacing references to their Privacy Policy with a “Data Use Policy”.

With Google releasing the changes to its privacy policy with similar intentions of making the term and conditions “easier to understand” causing such a stair only last month. The new changes to Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities are certainly set to make a big uproar within the Social Media Community.

If you would like to read a version which outlines the exact changes to the document, you can read it here.
